Today wasmanic with people being referedd to the Befriending service. We are so far keeping up wuith demand JUST. Hopefully going to get some new recruits from "Next Generation" in Hinckley. Issues of people without access to food which we addressed in record time. What a great team we have supportingn each other. Even when one is lost temporarily today the rest pick up the baton. The media as usual was its unhelpful self from Kuennsberg asking "give us a date when all NHS workers will have been tested!!. What a waste of air time. Then in the middle of the press conferenc the BBC fades the whole thing out to give us the news. In other words the BBC interprretation of what they think is bein gsaid. What a load of idiots!. I want to hear the experts and make judgments myself not listen to BBC opinions and speculation. Absolute disgrace!

From collecting bread from the Coop
for distribution to sorting our telephones and central heating the list goes on
as to how our Befrienders have been making a difference. Along with the Local
Area Coordinators and Social Prescribers the support services have been working
flat out. If only they can sort out the Safety Equipment for the NHS and
Social Services then all would be well. I must admit that the backlash from
the NHS about a comment made by the Health Secretary about making sure that
people use the safety equipment as instructed is a bit ridiculous. It was
a sensible comment to make as a reminder. There was no personal criticism
levelled in the comment and it was a sensible reminder to make as some organisations
are not used to working with this type of equipment.
The Press Conferences have been excellent from the
Government – only spoilt by the majority of stupid journalistic questions. The BBC still cuts off the press conference if
it goes past 6pm. If the journalists didn’t
enjoy the sound of their own voices we would get through more questions. What a set of idiots! I did find an unedited copy of the full
conference on You Tube. Why can’t the
BBC put it on IPlayer or point to You TUBE if that is what is going to happen
in the future. Letters to BBC News get
no response or comment. As usual they
are unaccountable to nobody from the general public.
Weather great which is good and bad I suppose as we all have
to stay in over the Easter break. Not
missing it really. Everything is so
quiet.
Stay Home, Protect the NHS
and Save Lives
